Booking terms
Last updated October 2026
The short version
- Your 30% deposit (minimum $150) holds one of the four places in your month. It can move once, with 30 days' notice, and part of it can be refunded if you cancel early.
- The balance is due once you've approved a photo of your arranged piece, before it's sealed and sent.
- Flowers are natural, so every piece is a little different from the bouquet you carried. You'll see a photo of your arranged piece before anything is sealed.
Your deposit
- A 30% deposit, minimum $150, confirms your booking. Your booking is confirmed once the deposit is received.
- Your deposit holds one of the four places in your month, which we then turn away from others. For that reason it isn't refunded if you change your mind or cancel, except as below.
- Your booking can move once, to a new date or to someone else's flowers, with at least 30 days' notice. New dates are subject to availability, and the same terms apply.
- If we're unable to complete your booking, we'll refund your deposit in full.
Cancellation and refunds
- If you cancel more than 60 days before your wedding and we're able to re-book your place, we'll refund your deposit less $50 to cover our admin. If your kit hasn't been posted yet, we'll refund that too.
- Otherwise, if you cancel after paying your deposit, the deposit is kept to cover your reserved place.
- If you've paid more than the deposit, we'll refund anything that doesn't relate to work already done or materials already used. Once drying, design or framing has begun, payments for that work aren't refunded for a change of mind.
- If you need to change your date, please tell us as early as you can.
Your flowers
- Please send your flowers within 24 to 48 hours of the wedding, following our packing card, by Express Post from a Post Office counter.
- Flowers are natural materials and each one responds differently to drying and pressing. Colours may soften or change, petals may shrink or change shape and texture, delicate petals may fall, leaves may discolour, and small natural imperfections may appear. These changes are part of preservation and aren't defects.
- Not every flower dries well. Some blooms, especially fleshy or very full ones, may not survive drying in a condition we're happy to use. We'll let you know, and we may leave them out or replace them with a matching dried flower. You'll always see this in the photo of your arranged piece, before anything is sealed. You'll be asked to confirm you understand this when you book.
If flowers are lost, delayed or damaged
- If your flowers are lost in the post, badly delayed or arrive too wilted to press, we'll tell you straight away. You can put your deposit towards a piece made with replacement flowers, or we'll refund it less the cost of your kit. We'll help you make a claim with Australia Post.
- We take great care of every bouquet. Flowers are very delicate, so a few petals or leaves may be lost while we work. If your bouquet were lost or badly damaged while in our care, we'd work with you to put it right.
Approving your piece
- Before anything is sealed, we arrange your dried flowers in the frame or case and send you a photo.
- Changes are easy at this point: you can ask for up to two rounds. Please reply within 14 days. If we haven't heard from you after a reminder, we'll seal and finish your piece as shown.
- Once you've approved it and paid the balance, we seal it under glass or resin, finish it and send it. Changes after approval, or extra flowers, materials or upgrades, may cost extra; we'll always tell you first.
Your balance
- The balance, including any add-ons you've chosen, is due once you've approved a photo of your arranged piece, before it's sealed and sent.
- If the balance is still unpaid 60 days after you've approved your piece, we'll pause your piece and remind you. After 120 days, and with written notice, we may close the booking.
- We keep any leftover flowers for 30 days after your piece is finished.
Delivery
- Finished pieces are sent by tracked, insured courier, Australia-wide: $25 for small pieces, $45 for frames, $95 for Full Bouquet frames and display cases. Delivery is added to your balance.
- Please check your delivery address before your piece is sent. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, we'll handle the claim with the carrier and put things right as the law requires.
Caring for your piece
- Keep it out of direct sunlight, away from heat, humidity and moisture, and indoors. Avoid touching the petals.
- Preserved flowers keep changing slowly over the years. That's part of their character.
Your rights
- Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If something we made isn't right, tell us and we'll put it right as the law requires.
A little reminder
Your flowers are one of a kind. Every bouquet carries its own colours, shapes and memories, so every UKA piece is unique. We don't try to recreate your flowers exactly as they were; we preserve their beauty and the memories they hold, and carry them into the future.
