Flowers carried into the future.

Our name joins two Japanese characters. Together they are flowers taking flight, carrying the memories of a special moment into the years that follow.

羽u · a wing

花ka · a flower

Flowers are not something we necessarily buy every day. Perhaps that is why, when we give or receive flowers, there is often a special moment behind them.

  • A birthday.
  • An anniversary.
  • A celebration.
  • A new beginning.
  • And one of life's most meaningful moments: a wedding.

Fresh flowers are at their most beautiful in the moment. Their colours are vibrant, their petals delicate, and they have a way of making a moment feel even more special.

But flowers change with time. They slowly lose their freshness, their colours soften, and eventually they fade. There is something beautiful and natural about that. But when those flowers hold the memories of a day that meant so much to us, watching them disappear can feel a little bittersweet.

That is where UKA begins.

We believe flowers don't have to be left behind when a moment comes to an end. They can be carried forward.

A bouquet carries a story

A wedding bouquet is more than a collection of flowers. It holds the day two people promise their future to one another, the love shared with family and friends, and all the little moments that made the day theirs.

When the wedding day comes to an end, we don't believe those flowers should simply become a memory. We carefully preserve and transform them, giving them a new form and a new place in the lives of the people who loved them.

The flowers may change. Their meaning doesn't have to.

Beauty, beyond the moment

We don't simply try to keep a bouquet exactly as it was. We believe preservation can be a process of transformation.

Fresh flowers have their own kind of beauty, bright and full of life. Dried flowers have another. Their colours become softer, their textures more delicate, their beauty quieter and more timeless. Sometimes we add a subtle touch of light, a delicate shimmer across the petals, just enough to let the flowers catch the light again.

Not to recreate the flowers as they once were, but to create something beautiful from what they have become.

Carrying memories forward

At UKA, we don't believe we are simply preserving flowers. We are preserving the feeling within them: the happiness of the day, the people who were there, the love that was celebrated, and the beginning of a new chapter.

Something you see years later, that makes you smile, and brings you back to a moment you never want to forget.

Four things we hold to

  • Feather

Lightness, and the journey into the future.

  • Flower

    The beauty of life's moments.

  • Forest & tree

Nature, time, and the cycle of life.

  • Light

    A gentle glow of memories.

A note from Misa

We take something that belonged to one special day and give it a place in the days that follow. A moment may end, but the flowers can carry its story forward.
